Lets face it, we all lead hectic, over-scheduled lives. So when my client mentioned she was getting her PHD in the Healing Arts and wanted to run meditation groups in Briarcliff Manor, I thought it was a great idea! We got started transforming her bright yellow family bonus room into a tranquil, calm, peaceful place with a cool color palette. Her favorite color is teal green which became our starting point for the chair fabrics. We brought that color into the wood trim around the windows surrounding it with faux painted walls in an oyster color.
The second floor windows have beautiful views of the rambling green property. With simple flat roman blinds, we made sure to keep the beauty of nature in view which tied in nicely to the existing exposed beams and bright cupola in the ceiling. Built in window seats allowed for a special closeness to nature.
This space also doubles as a meeting room with its built in cabinetry for a beverage refrigerator and coffee station, and a custom zinc table for serving as well as working.
