HOUSE REFRESH, PURCHASE
This once traditional home was refreshed to a transitional style with a contemporary flare after 20 years of happy living. All new furnishings, and thoughtful renovations helped with this solution. Changing out old tile in the entry, kitchen and laundry room and refinishing all of the wood floors to a consistent stain color, and adding more storage and lighting, set the stage for the design. The living room fireplace received new stone and the bookcases was redesigned, all complementing the beautiful handmade silk and wool rugs. The master bedroom received a wonderful update, raising the dropped ceiling to a tray ceiling with accent lighting around the perimeter for a gentle glow in the evening. We hired Denise to update our current home where we have lived for 20 years. We wanted to get away from the very traditional feel and get a clean, fresh look in our living areas. She helped choose paint colors, tile, window treatments, furniture and fabric for reupholstering existing pieces. Everything turned out beautifully. Denise and her team created a functional and inviting space for our whole family to enjoy. It was a pleasure working with DW Design and Decor. Our home is gorgeous and comfortable.
