As your Interior Design-Build partner, we guide you through every stage of the journey—from identifying the scope of work, planning, design drafts, floor plans, space planning, budgeting, and permitting to construction, furnishings, and the finishing details. Denise Wenacur, Principal

Principal, Lead Interior Designer

Meet Denise Wenacur ~ With more than 40 years of experience in design, Denise Wenacur is the Founder and Principal Designer of DW Design & Décor LLC, an award-winning Luxury Interior Design-Build firm specializing in residential Interior Design and renovations . Denise combines creative vision with expert project leadership to create homes that are as functional as they are beautiful. Her collaborative approach begins with listening—taking the time to understand each client’s lifestyle, goals, and vision before thoughtfully guiding them through every phase of the Interior Design-Build process.

A lifelong artist with a passion for architecture and waterfront living, Denise draws inspiration from the beauty, light, and tranquility of life on the water, where she both lives and works. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design, and is a certified Construction Project Manager through Pace University. An Allied Member of ASID and Associate Member of IIDA, Denise’s award-winning work has been featured in numerous publications, and she is a sought-after speaker on design, business, and innovation. Her mission is simple: to create timeless beautifully designed homes that reflect the people who live in them while making the journey enjoyable, organized, and rewarding.

Polly Teitel

Project Manager

Polly channeled her creative talents towards a degree in Theatre and Fashion Design from FIT. This led her into the Retail market where she was a buyer and also a sales associate for Saks Fifth Ave in Greenwich Ct. Her love for Interiors formed when she and her husband bought a beautiful farmhouse built in 1842 with wonderful architectural details. She realized that she loved the business of Interior Design and all of the details associated with process. “Since 2014 I have enjoyed working behind the scenes at DW Design & Décor to handle the many project details by connecting with clients, manufacturers, artisans and installers. It takes so many people to bring the creative ideas to life for our clients. The best part is seeing the transformation photos of someone’s home as a result of our great teamwork!”

Wendy Casale-Lewis

Interior Designer

Wendy is an Interior Designer who creates unique and refreshing designs, aiming to bring harmony, balance, and timeless elements into her work. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an AAS in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design.

With over 25 years of experience in designing and managing construction projects, Wendy considers a site’s full environmental context to ensure it aligns with the client’s personality. Using computer-aided design software Wendy makes these ideas come alive for clients to view. She collaborates with contractors, engineers, and public agencies to meet timeline and budget constraints.

Having lived abroad, Wendy understands different cultures and infuses those values into her projects. She finds inspiration everywhere, particularly in raw and natural beauty. A good listener, Wendy also enjoys playing the flute, reading, and spending time outdoors in her free time.

Kimberly Merlitti

Chief Financial Officer

Kimberly brings 20 years of experience having worked in accounting for companies such as Swinerton Builders, WRNS Studio and Martin Group. Kimberly has primarily worked in the design field with a main focus on small interior design, construction and architectural firms. She uses her extensive experience to educate businesses about accounting, cash flow management, tax deductions, project reporting, and business management. Kimberly holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from Golden Gate University.

Ellen Pozit

Bookkeeper

Ellen has been in business for herself since she and her husband opened their first of several restaurants many years ago. As the need arose in her business for a hands-on approach, she became proficient in Quickbooks. When she sold her last restaurant, she used that knowledge to create a bookkeeping/consulting service that has grown over the years to include a variety of businesses. She enjoys the diversity and the personal contact with her clients.
