This year the NY NOW trade show in NYC outdid itself! The exhibiters with products that spanned from Home Decor, Tabletop to Gifts, were of the highest quality with many unique offerings. I enjoy going every year to get inspired and think outside of my Interior Design focus. The jewelry this year presented was breathtaking. Artists used interesting materials such as rubber and metal, to create one of a kind wearable art. Another artist created vases and dishes from laser cut aluminum to create geometric and floral patterns.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
