It all began in 1994 when Christy Counts fell in love with wine after a dinner with John Williams of Napa’s “Frog’s Leap” Winery. Her fascination grew through various wine events and explorations of wine regions. Despite a career in animal welfare, the dream of owning a winery persisted.
In 2014, Christy and her husband Ben Morton moved to Bedford, NY, and discovered the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Drawn to its cool climate wines and passionate community, Christy pursued advanced certification through the Wine Spirit & Education Trust (WSET) in 2020.
In 2022, they decided to establish Neverstill Wines in Hudson, NY, known for its vibrant art and culinary scene. Teaming up with Master of Wine Nova Cadamatre as winemaker and Bryce Lianna as Assistant Winemaker, they have embarked on creating world-class wines in New York.
