I had the privilege of taking a VIP tour of the building, the 20th Century Furniture Exhibition, auction room and new onsite Gallery yesterday. It was awesome! Located on York Ave. and 71 street in NYC, the exhibits are open for public viewing. They have also updated their website to include viewing of auctions in real time. If you have a little extra cash and see something that you like, you can now bid remotely from your own home without joining the crowds onsite.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
