A Passion for Wood & Nature

With over three decades in the construction industry, AnnMarie currently works with a structural steel engineer. However, her love for nature and keen vision led her to a unique path – repurposing fallen lumber into stunning live edge furnishings and wood art. What sets her apart? AnnMarie accomplishes this feat using her own sawmill, showcasing not just craftsmanship but a deep connection to the materials she works with.

Beyond the Workshop

AnnMarie’s commitment to community goes beyond her artistic endeavors. In her spare time, she volunteers as a 4H leader, imparting knowledge on civic subjects and empowering the youth through various programs. Her role as the founder of a Nature and Animal Assisted Intervention Program at a residential treatment facility underscores her dedication to aiding trauma-experienced youth and individuals with spectrum disorders, using the therapeutic power of animals.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
