A Whole House Renovation Filled With Happiness

This project is a pleasure to work on and we are not even finished yet! The clients are a young couple moving into their first home. If that wasn’t enough, they just had their first baby, and cannot wait to fill the house with lots of smiles and joy. The work is still ongoing. However, in the meantime, we wanted to share before and progress photos. Here’s a look at what has been so far.

Before any work began, we discussed their needs and wants. The clients asked for light-filled spaces where they can spend plenty of time together. In order to do this, the entire home required an update to make it work better for the needs of their new family. We started by redesigning the original floor plan. To take advantage of the best view of the golf course, the kitchen is now located where the large family room was. The updated kitchen includes custom cabinets and a large island to accommodate family, friends and entertaining. Then, what was the old kitchen became a mud room. Next, all of the windows on this floor were replaced.

Second Floor Reimagined

We then moved to the bedrooms. As part of a new addition, a primary suite was built and includes a walk-in closet and bathroom along with sliding doors that open to a private terrace overlooking the golf course. The end result is a beautiful, spacious suite that gives this couple a place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Also, three other bedrooms were updated, as well as two additional bathrooms, which provides plenty of room to grow.

Interior Design Takes Center Stage

The home has a sophisticated coastal vibe that includes shades of whites, greens and neutrals throughout. While the dining room will have more of an exotic look with royal blue wallpaper on the ceiling and custom molding framing the design.

Watch for more to come of this refresh. We are excited to show the completed home and will post after photos in an upcoming blog.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
