The Latest in Home Design – High Point Spring Market 2025

We are back from Spring High Point Market. What an amazing event!  With 20+ million square feet of showroom, there is nowhere else that offers this many beautifully manufactured, high quality items in one place. And being able to see the details up close, while selecting unique pieces to be customized for our clients is invaluable. We always leave inspired!

This event is also a great place to connect with other talented designers and friends, while seeing the latest trends and forecasts up-close. Another high point (at High Point) is attending seminars and industry events. The WOW awards hosted by WITHIT, honored many outstanding people in our industry, who lift us all up with their dedication in the field. Check out all the posts from High Point on our Instagram account: @dwdesigndecor

There were so many fresh ideas and options that excited us. We can’t wait to bring this new inspiration and innovative elements to our projects.

While sourcing pieces for our clients, here are several emerging styles and design directions that caught our attention:

  • Amber is the unexpected color of the season in upholstery and accessories.  Amber textured fabric was seen on sofas, chairs and beds.
  • Curves were everywhere and the look was inviting with soft edges adding a visual interest.
  • Color was displayed as either bold or as subtle tones mixed with a variety of colors and patterns. Wall artwork was seen as inspiration for the room.
  • Round is the way to go. From dining to side tables with beautiful fluted bases made from wood, marble and metals.
  • Dressers are in the spotlight. There were so many styles and materials such as linen, wood, leather, and high gloss paint. Plus, distinctive and interesting hardware.
  • Stylish outdoor furniture that incorporated roping/wood frames and great shapes. Rattan and woven furniture is back in a big way in a variety of weaves and colors.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
