Benjamin Moore COLOR of the Year 2019

With great anticipation at the beautiful Seagram Building in NYC, Benjamin Moore announced their Color of the Year for 2019….drum roll please……Metropolitan AF-690. Yup, grey.

What do you think? My feeling is that grey has become the go to neutral. Its the backdrop for all of our other brighter colors which allows us to express ourselves. So, the real question will be, what is your favorite complimentary color to partner with it? Blue? The popular Forest Green that’s trending now?

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair.
