Color of the Year Revealed: The Richness of Benjamin Moore

The best way to describe Silhouette, the Benjamin Moore Color of the Year, is a rich, warm neutral, and they may be on to something. For 2026, earth tones like browns and shades of clay and taupe are taking center stage and BM is taking the lead. This trend was showcased at the recent High Point Market Fall 2025 we attended (stay tuned for highlights!) The dark charcoal color was everywhere from throws, rugs, paintings, to walls, upholstery, tile and more. We can’t wait to share!

Nature Inspired, Color Rich Options
These moody, neutral colors are not the stars of the room, instead most people will use them as an accent in their homes. The richness of color can really bring a room together and give it an elegant, sophisticated look. It’s the mix of different textures, fabrics, materials, and craftsmanship that makes it interesting. This subtle feel and new take on layering can feel both stylish and comfortable and we are seeing many of our clients beginning to embrace this idea in their homes, which I love to see. Watch for more about how to incorporate these new dark, earth tones into your home. Take a look at the photos below from High Point that caught my attention on this trend – I think you will love it.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
