January always excites us! Its the start of the New Year, it is a new beginning, and a chance to do things differently than the year before. As soon at the Holidays are over, our office gets inundated with calls for new Design Projects and people wanting to make changes to their spaces.

At the same time, the January weather in New York tends to be darker, grayer and colder. So how do we combat the flatness AND the need to make interior changes…with TEXTURE!

There are so many ways to incorporate texture into your world. For a few new projects, we selected beautiful tiles in a variety of finishes and styles. From glossy to honed porcelain, utilizing different shapes, sizes and visual details, we have been able to bring interest and texture into our bathroom and kitchen projects.

And for a master suite project, we chose gorgeous wallpaper, wool rugs, and textured embroidered fabrics to give the feeling of luxury.

We cant wait to see which options our clients will choose!

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
