The Kitchen & Bath Show (KBIS), combined with the International Builder Show (IBS) was the place to be in Orlando, Florida last week. Well attended and filled with stunning solutions, the obvious focus was on COLOR in the home!

We loved the various sink options from colorful orange ceramic to custom wood and cast bronze. Kitchen cabinetry was displayed in a multitude of colors from black to green and in wood and metal.

A fun find was prefabricated cement pools, available in yes, may colors and sizes. They are delivered on a flat bed and dropped in to a pre dug hole with the help of a very large crane!

We loved all of these solutions. Next month we will have KBIS/IBS 2022, Part 2, focusing on Renovation Materials and Plumbing fixtures.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
