DW Design & Decor warmly welcomes our newest intern, Katie Baskind. She has just graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Katie has had a passion for design since a young age. During high school, she attended the New York School of Design (NYSID) Pre-College Summer Program. Her love for Interior Design only blossomed from there. This summer she will be taking courses at the NYSID through their Institute for Continuing & Professional Studies program.

“I am thrilled to be interning at DW Design & Decor this summer. Getting an inside look at how an Interior Design business is run, as well as learning so much about the design process as a whole, will aid in my journey to become an Interior Designer. After only a few weeks, I have already learned so much and am very grateful for the experience Denise & Polly have given me.” – Katie Baskind

There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
