Modern Transformation
We were thrilled to dive into this incredible project! Our client was looking for a fundamental reimagining of this space. The end result is a stunning multifunctional concept ideal for family gatherings, entertaining, pool access and a relocated home office with room for storage and a bright, open area that looks out on beautiful views of the backyard.
Our renovation plan was all about flow and included several key updates. The space underwent a significant transformation to maximize its utility and aesthetic appeal. This included an architectural revision to the stairs for easier entry, installation of a modern kitchenette that leads out to the pool, a complete media system upgrade, strategic space division to incorporate a new room and under-stair storage, as well as a bathroom refresh. Lastly, the new area rugs, wall art and floor lighting pull everything together.
The finished space is all about bringing functionality to every corner. It’s the perfect combination of modern, comfortable living for work and play anytime of the year.
Once the basement project was underway, the client decided it was also a good time to refresh the primary bath. The space was out-of-date, but there were opportunities for a more functional layout. The project began with foundational fixes: removal of a large, awkward platform tub in the middle of the room and slippery polished marble floor tiles. And then leveling of the multi-height flooring.
Next, we reimagined the space by removing a window, installing a larger shower and double vanity with a taller backsplash, adding a linen closet with toilet, as well as incorporating upgrades like a towel warmer and an organic lighting fixture for a modern, spa-like look and feel.
“Denise and her team have been a pleasure to work with. They are very responsive and collaborative. Her beautiful designs motivated us to finally jump into renovations that have been long overdue. Thank you Denise!”
