Speaker Event ~ Catherine Kondo Arkin

Catherine Kondo Arkin is the proud owner of Upper Village Blooms in Croton-On-Hudson. She has lived here since 2002 and the shop has been open for seven years. Catherine loves how flowers enhance the beauty and joy of her community. She selects seasonal, responsibly sourced flowers and incorporates sustainable practices throughout her business.

Catherine is excited to share her knowledge of the floral industry, and she feels passionate about bringing happiness and environmental responsibility to everything she creates.

A Few Tips To Keep In Mind:
  • Flowers have a long term, positive effect on mood.
  • Independent florists make their own choices when creating arrangements.
  • Syndicate florists, like FTD, have strict guidelines about what flowers can be used.
  • Plan ahead. When possible, tell the florist to deliver when flowers are freshest.
