The beautiful work of fine artist Jeff Erickson, reminds me of my beloved Hudson River. I live on the water, literally. 90 feet away from my front door is the river. As seen from the beautiful photographs taken from my (once professional photographer) husband Rick Wenacur, there are similarities in color and texture and peacefulness.

Jeffs paints with oils and cold wax medium, on canvas, wood panels, and paper, capturing the moody essence of a body of water that changes spirit multiple times a day. He grew up traveling the world with his family, living in various countries, and soaked in images of the landscapes that he was fortunate enough to see in person on his excursions.

“The experience of painting is a great escape from the complexities of life, and I always find myself creating an abstract scene of peacefulness, relaxation, and calmness. I’m drawn to water, the sea, the ocean, and these feelings show up in my abstract landscapes.”

Jeff has certainly captured the essence of my home and love for the water in his artwork. Visit his web page (represented by Anne Nielson) to view more of is beautiful pieces. VIEW ARTWORK

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
