This multi-functional loft is used as an office, reading room and also a guest room on occasion. In order to make this space more private when guests are in town, we created a ripple-fold curtain on a traverse rod to open and close as needed. The challenge was the angled ceiling as gravity naturally wants to pull the material down when we have it in the open stacked position.

Our workroom was brilliant in utilizing a pully system hardware on the angled ceiling to keep the fabric in place when not in use. The other two fabric panels were created to open and close manually, with an attached wand.

The specified fabric from Rose Brand, has ‘sound dampening’ qualities and is created from recycled bottles! We positioned the finished side of the fabric panels and hardware towards the living room below for a cleaner look.
