This season, I’ve been soaking up inspiration and color everywhere I go. We’re lucky to live in an area rich with museums, exhibits, and special events. 

The Orchid Show at the NY Botanical Garden — We enjoyed a lush, vibrant walk through in greenhouses bursting with orchids in every shape and hue.

Magazzino Italian Art, Cold Spring — Immersive, visual installations and creative expression in every room. The exterior landscape around the main buildings is also beautiful to view.

The MET, NYC — Always inspiring. From the shimmering Tiffany windows to ancient Egyptian artifacts, it’s a visual journey through time.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
