THOUGHTS ON GOOD DESIGN BLOG

Backstage on Broadway
I had the pleasure of watching the Tony Award winning play Kinky Boots on Broadway and going backstage. I even met the star Billy Porter! (aka LOLA)

Florida Greenery
We love the hot weather and palm trees. What better place to enjoy both but to visit Florida in the summer!

Sag Harbor, NY
Something that can be seen throughout the Hamptons in the Spring are flowers beautifully arranged in pots and planters. If you do not have a green thumb, but like to surround yourself with color, this is a great way to accomplish both.

Walking Dunes, Hamptons, NY
One special place that we like to visit is the Walking Dunes, in Napeague, Montauk, NY. They are named this not because you are allowed to walk on them, but because the wind and natural elements change the configuration of the dunes constantly.

Jaqui B. ~ Croton-On-Hudson, NY

“Denise did the entire interior of my house. She had wonderful ideas and great resources. But what makes her a winner in my book is her ability to listen and deliver above and beyond what you asked for. I highly recommend her services…”

Michelle C. ~ Ossining, NY
“Denise did my window treatments on the entire first floor of my house (family room, eat in, kitchen, laundry, formal living room and office). The fabric options she guided me through look great, and she was very quick to bring alternatives to the table when our original choices were no longer available. Her recommendations for styles of treatments were dead-on and my rooms look amazing now!”

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
