It may have looked liked me and my co-tennis-obsessed Designer friend Jana aka Trim Queen were playing hooky at the US Open this week. Well we kind of were! But what we also did, was have some fun using new Social Media tools to report on our findings and experiences around the US Open village…

Terry Gubitose, a long time Westchester NY resident, has been a professional artist and painter all of her life. Her inspiration comes from the beauty and movement of water, nature, and the interaction of people. Viewing her work reminds you of Summertime year round!
I had the pleasure of chaperoning my son’s 6th Grade Class at The MET the other day. This museum is one of my favorites having visited so many times through my own young school years through to design school. There is so much to see, great exhibits, and old favorites…
“Denise is an outstanding designer who brings a deft touch to any project. She is that rare combination of artist / professional who can share her artful recommendations and make them happen with an organized and well managed approach Her color sense and deep knowledge of the interior design world continue to impress me. I endorse Denise in the highest sense and would recommend her to any of my landscape clients!”
Last night I had the pleasure of being a GUEST on a Talk Show called Dispatch on Design + Style. It was virtually viewed on the video conferencing platform called BLAB. People can watch and interact with the hosts in real time while it is live, and even find themselves in the spotlight when asking a question.
The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
