Croton-On-Hudson: Multi Room Basement & Primary Bath Renovation – Part II

We are excited to reveal the final photos of this incredible project. It’s the perfect combination of modern, comfortable living for work and play anytime of the year. This project started months ago with the basement and bathroom refresh and then the client asked us to tackle a primary bath upgrade. Now, its ready for the reveal.

Modern Transformation

The finished space is all about bringing functionality to every corner. Our client cannot believe the basement and bathrooms are the same spaces. Her home is now the perfect combination of everyday function and a beautiful design aesthetic.

Project Overview

We were thrilled to dive into this incredible project! Our client was looking for a fundamental reimagining of this space. This stunning multifunctional concept is ideal for family gatherings, entertaining, pool access and a relocated home office with room for storage and a bright, open area that looks out on beautiful views of the backyard.

Our renovation plan was all about flow and included several key updates:

  • Significant transformation to maximize its utility and aesthetic appeal
  • Architectural revision to the stairs for easier entry
  • New kitchenette installation
  • Complete media system upgrade
  • Strategic space division for a new room and under-stair storage
  • Bathroom refresh

Lastly, the new area rugs, wall art and floor lighting pull everything together.

Recap: Primary Bath Upgrade

Once the basement project was underway, we started on the primary bath. Everything was out-of-date, but there were opportunities for a more functional layout. We started with foundational fixes and then reimagined the space by  incorporating upgrades for a modern, spa-like look and feel.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.

“Your rooms are like a painting. Each component is a brushstroke to create the whole picture. It’s magic every time!”
