A few months ago, I had a wonderful opportunity to meet with some top designers from around the country, to discuss the business of design. The 3 day retreat was located in beautiful sunny Tucson Arizona.
It was fascinating to share best practices in the industry, and personal stories of working within challenging locations or situations. I left with lots of new information to incorporate into my Design Practice, that directly benefits my clients and their projects!

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
