The Pantone Color institute nailed it with their choice of Color Of The Year for 2020, ‘Classic Blue #19-4052‘!
According to Pantone, this color is know for “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”
It is a timeless and enduring blue hue, elegant in its simplicity. It is suggestive of the sky at dusk bringing us a sense of peace, tranquility, and restfullness.
According to Architectural Digest, “Pantone’s decade-launching choice might seem staid (especially in comparison to 2019’s showy Living Coral), but such a recognizable, reliable color presents a foil to the uncertainty the future holds. “When we look at the world around us, we know that we’re living with a lot of unrest, where some days we don’t feel quite as secure,” Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the company’s Color Institute, explains. “Blue, from an emotional, psychological standpoint, has always represented a certain amount of calm and dependability. It’s a color that you can rely on.”
