KBIS & IBS: My Kind of Vegas Shows

This year both the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and International Builders Show (IBS) were held February 25-27 in Las Vegas. There were so many amazing ideas and products. I could not wait to come back and share all of it. 

KBIS – Showcases the latest trends, cutting-edge products, and breakthrough technologies in kitchen and bath design. Product reveals where functionality meets creativity, demonstrations and learning seminars.

Product Highlights
  • Beautiful plumbing options in shower heads, to vessel sinks to colorful resin and concrete bathtubs
  • Wireless charging stations embedded in stone
  • Induction cooking (hint: its magnetic) on stone countertops
  • Interior cabinetry storage solutions

IBS – Connects, educates, improves the residential construction industry by introducing new product launches, construction demos, industry thought leader sessions, workshops, panel discussions.

Product Highlights: 
  • Small modular homes that can be delivered to a property as an additional dwelling unit (ADU)
  • Unique entry doors
  • Helpful new materials such as the foundation screw and die cut acoustic panels in a variety of colors and patterns

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
