I had a wonderful time as part of a Panel Discussion at the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) at the Javitz Ctr. in NYC this past Sunday, May 17th. Myself and two other very accomplished Interior Designers spoke about and answered questions on the topic “How to Create Your Online Presence.” Lyndsey Thudin, Industry Marketing Mgr. for HOUZZ.com was the moderator.

We all have had profiles on HOUZZ.com since its inception in 2010, when their photo library was under a Million. Now, with almost 7 Million photographs to browse through, and lots of Pros to help inspire beautiful interiors, it has become a very valuable tool for us all!

Even the Wall Street Journal encouraged the attendance to these interesting seminars, offered to the trade to aid in their education requirements.

The common element throughout is good design. There’s always a reason why an element is chosen for a certain place, whether it’s a colorful painting in a room or a specific fabric on a chair. There’s also a functionality to every item that is unique to each project’s solution. It’s sort of like an oversized jigsaw puzzle with a place and reason for each piece.
